The Joy of cooking is a long time tradition in our family. I was so anxious to get the app I got it as soon as it came out. However, I found that my iPad was too old to display it. What a disappointment! However I was finally able to get a new iPad and I tried out the app. I think theyve done a wonderful job. Its got so many features, I cant wait to try and as many as possible. My one disappointment, was that there didnt seem to be a way to slow down the verbal instructions. At my age, I forget the list of ingredients quickly. I had to replay it many times in order to get all of them and be able to measure them before I forgot what they were. Perhaps there might be a way to have an option where you could slow down the rate they read each section of the instructions. Other than that, everything seems great and I hope its a big success. Im sure a lot of people will be giving this as a gift during the holiday season.
